Zero emission vehicles: funding to drive development and adoption

Up to £22 million is available for industry-led research and innovation that accelerates the uptake and use of zero-emission vehicles in the UK. The competition is looking for low-cost, highly-integrated systems that support zero-emission journeys for cars and other vehicles including buses and motorbikes. Open grant funding competition: round 3

You have an opportunity to apply for a share of up to £20 million to deliver game changing or disruptive innovations with significant potential for impact on the UK economy. Applications can come from any area of technology, science or engineering, including arts, design, media or creative industries, and be applied to any part of the economy. The deadline is Wednesday 14th November at 12pm. Apply here.

Innovation loans: September 2018 open competition

Innovate UK is to offer up to £10 million in loans to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Projects should aim to develop new products, processes or services (or innovative use of existing ones) believed to be significantly ahead of anything similar in the field. Future electric vehicles: Faraday battery challenge, round 3

A £25 million funding competition will offer grants to innovative businesses with projects to develop batteries for future electric vehicles. There are 2 opportunities to apply, depending on the stage of your project; up to £23 million for industrial research and development, or up to £2 million for feasibility studies. The deadline for applications is midday on 12th December 2018 – apply here.

October expression of interest: UK Aerospace Research and Technology Programme

The UK Aerospace Research and Technology (UKART) Programme represents a £3.9 billion joint government and industry investment to maintain and grow the UK’s competitive position in civil aerospace. Projects must have a potential application within the civil aerospace sector. Priority areas identified within the UK Aerospace Technology Strategy include; whole aircraft design and integration, aerostructures, advanced systems and propulsion technologies. Digital health technology catalyst round 3: feasibility studies

Innovate UK, as part of UK Research and Innovation, is to invest up to £1 million in feasibility studies that can potentially develop new digital technology solutions to healthcare challenges. You must show how your project will improve the competitiveness and productivity of at least one UK SME involved in the project. SMEs can work alone or in collaboration. Applications close on Wednesday 31st October – get your applications in!

Digital health technology catalyst round 3: collaborative R&D

UK businesses can apply for a share of up to £8 million to speed up development of commercial digital health solutions. Projects must be collaborative and work with at least one other grant-claiming partner (NHS, other healthcare providers, other businesses, research technology organisations, research base or third sector). You must show how your project will improve the competitiveness and productivity of at least one UK SME involved in the project. Apply here by Wednesday 31st October.

Productive and sustainable crop and ruminant agricultural systems

UK businesses can apply for a share of up to £20 million to improve productivity and sustainability across UK crop and ruminant production systems. Projects must improve productivity and sustainability by developing enhanced decisions support, precision agriculture technology solutions and systems for crop and ruminant agriculture. If you think your business deserves this funding, apply here by Wednesday 24th October.
