We want to make sure that access to funding is fair for everyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or where in the UK they\u2019re located.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What are the Nations and Regions Investment Funds?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Nations and Regions Investment Funds are a collective \u00a31.6bn investment fund created to drive economic growth and local opportunities for new and growing businesses from\u00a0 across the UK. All sectors can benefit from the <a href=\"https:\/\/swoopfunding.com\/uk\/business-loans\/\">business loans<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/swoopfunding.com\/uk\/equity-financing\/\">equity finance<\/a> available, regardless of the economic conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>How has the \u00a31.6bn been divided between regions?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was announced in the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/autumn-budget-and-spending-review-2021-documents\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spending Review 2021<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the new \u00a31.6bn pool of SME funding would divided into 6 regional funds, all with varying amounts &#8211;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund will receive \u00a3660 million and has expanded to cover the north east of England.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Midlands Engine Investment Fund has been allocated \u00a3400 million.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A brand-new South West Investment Fund has been created with \u00a3200 million being set aside, building on the success of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Investment Fund.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scotland is getting a new Investment Fund worth \u00a3150 million.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wales has a dedicated Investment Fund worith \u00a3130 million.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FInally,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Northern Ireland will benefit from a \u00a370 million Investment Fund.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.british-business-bank.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">British Business Bank<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has the important job of administering these Nations and Regions Investment Funds on behalf of the UK government. The first step was to establish investment funds in areas that their existing regional funding program doesn&#8217;t cover.
