Swoop’s Equity and Grants team helps fast growing innovative companies secure funding to grow
their businesses.

Our team works with startups to refine their investment proposition and then presents the
opportunity to our investor network of venture capital funds and angel investors.

We work in partnership with grant writers to identify exciting research and development based
companies to aid their application for innovation grant funding.

The role will involve working with the above companies on a day to day basis, whilst building out the
Swoop equity proposition with our tech team to move towards a platform based offering and also
improving our grant finder tool.

• Customer relationship management – communicating with multiple founders and business owners on a regular basis to support them with their funding needs.
• Product – working with multiple stakeholders to improve the equity offering, moving the businesses towards a deal management platform for VC funds and grant agencies.
• Opportunity to run a P&L division within Swoop and shape the growth of that P&L direction
• Investor networking & relations – improving our relationship with investors in the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, Australia and South Africa.
• Market research – researching grants across the UK to ensure the Swoop grant finder tool is up to date and best in market.
• Partnerships – introducing clients to partners in the grants and innovation space with regular check-ins.
• Reviewing pitch decks and communicating feedback to founders.
• Deal placement – placing deals with our network of investment funds, investors and grant writers.

• Three to four years experience ideally in the startup ecosystem.
• Excited to work with engineers and product managers to develop innovative offerings.
• Genuine relationship-builder who is passionate about helping small businesses.
• Results-driven and responsible with a focus on delivering growth targets.
• High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Eager to expand knowledge and be a part of the growing fintech industry.
• Well-developed sense of personal and business integrity, holding oneself and others to high standards Inquisitive in nature and understanding of the importance of qualifying prospects.
