By self-funding part of the price, the seller takes the weight off the buyer\u2019s need to obtain a large commercial mortgage from a bank or credit union, which can be helpful if the buyer\u2019s credit is weak, they lack the cash to make a big <a href=\"https:\/\/swoopfunding.com\/us\/business-glossary\/down-payment\/\">down payment<\/a>, or their business is relatively new. The buyer will also need to give the seller a personal guarantee and in some cases, may have to provide collateral.
