Applicants must be <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">18+ years of age and operate a brick-and-mortar store with less than 20 employees. The business must also have annual average revenues of under $1 million. If your business is selected for the program, you must join Wish Local.<\/span><\/p><h3><b>The Freed Fellowship Grant<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/freedfellowship.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Freed Fellowship<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> offers monthly $500 grants to people of color and female business owners. Applicants also receive <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">two months of free business mentoring in the Freed Studio virtual community and may <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">win an additional $2,500 grant at the end of the year.<\/span><\/p><h3><b>HerRise Microgrant<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aiming to bridge the financial gap in funding for early-stage Black female entrepreneurs, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hersuitespot.com\/herrise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HerRise MicroGrant<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides a monthly award of $1,000 to businesses that aim to positively impact their community. To qualify, your business must be at least 51% owned by women of color, be based in the US and have revenues of less than $1 million.<\/span><\/p><h3><b>National Association for the Self-Employed Growth Grants<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) provides <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nase.org\/become-a-member\/member-benefits\/business-resources\/growth-grants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">business growth grants<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of up to $4,000 to members. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since 2006, nearly $1,000,000 has been awarded, with grants used for marketing, advertising, hiring employees, expanding facilities and other specific business needs. All minorities may apply, but you must be a member of NASE to participate. (Membership fees may be applicable).<\/span><\/p><h3><b>Merchant Maverick Opportunity Grants Program<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.merchantmaverick.com\/merchant-maverick-opportunity-grant-native-american-businesses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Merchant Maverick Opportunity Grants Program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides funding to businesses<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that experience racial or other barriers to traditional financing.
