About the role
The HR Manager will report into the Head of Operations and will manage one direct report, with the possibility of growing the team of direct reports further, to support Swoop’s future growth.
The HR Manager’s responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end people operations processes, talent acquisition strategy design and implementation, as well as acting as a trusted advisor to our heads of departments who are managing teams.
Lead people strategy planning
Lead the recruitment, selection, onboarding and retention of employees across the business, managing the full recruitment lifecycle
Collaborate with Swoop’s senior leadership team to create a talent acquisition strategy that aligns with the company’s talent framework, strategy and financial forecast
Implement employee engagement initiatives and develop and execute action plans to address any identified areas for improvement
Senior stakeholder management
Liaise with department heads to create resource plans that align with their department goals
Develop people and team initiatives that are aligned to the business growth plan
Trusted HR advisor
Provide thought leadership on best practices in people management and development and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Offer expert advice on HR policies and procedures, ensuring these are regularly reviewed and in line with best practice and legislative regulations to drive sustainable performance
HR operational enhancement
Implement people operations processes to optimise talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding and performance management
Develop and manage the company’s performance management process, ensuring it’s fair, consistent, and aligned with our goals and values
Manage employee relations and performance issues, providing guidance and support to leaders and staff as needed
Oversee the company’s compensation and benefits programmes, ensuring they are competitive, fair, and cost effective
A bit about you
5-7 years generalist HR experience
Experience in a progressive HR environment within financial services or the software sector is an advantage, but not essential
Must have a demonstrated ability to be hands on whilst at times taking a strategic perspective
Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and procedures
Experience in recruitment, training, and performance management
Experience of working with C-suite leaders and strong stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise the delivery of tasks
Self-motivated, driven and ability to hold oneself accountable for delivering targets
Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and balance multiple priorities
